Thanks to the editors
This is a special shout out of thanks to the editors of the Emmett family Newsletter. What a delightful thing. I stayed up too late last night reading the just arrived edition from cover to cover. I learned lots of new things about people I love. Thanks to all who contributed and shared.

The Emmett Home
In Arabic word for home/house is Beit (in Hebrew it is Beth). For the next year, beginning August 20th 2009, the Emmett family will be making their home at the BYU Jerusalem Center at the northern end of the Mt of Olives. Our home will be in a three room apartment on the fifth level of the Center seen with all of its arches at the top left of the above photo. Will will be attending pre-school at Augusta Victoria--the large square tower in the upper right.
Here is the view from our balcony
The eight level of the center with access to the chapel and library
The upper gardens leading to the upper entry.

Happy Fourth of July
Will decked out in some of his patriotic crafts from a week long morning summer camp. Will without fail willingly wears dark glasses whenever he is out in the sun so that his under the eye scare heals well.
Sarah and Will enjoying one of June's many rain days. Thanks to Grandma Emmett for the cozy reading quilts. A plaid flannel quilt certainly aided my recovery during the chilly June days.
One of Joel's many hits of the season. The first thing he does in the morning is read the sports page!
Oquirrh Mt. Temple Open House with Tuellers, Krumpermans and Ellsworths.
From the past--they grow up fast.
