Here is a poem Sarah penned tonight. It is entitled "dreams" and is based mostly on real dreams she has had lately.

A polar bear was chasing me,
and then I had a cat.
Then I kissed and hugged some boys,
I wore a stupid hat.
I was a monkey, I was my friend,
My life came to a sudden end.
A spider bit, I skied a lot,
I fell into a chocolate pot.
Prince Harry and I went on a date,
I went to school and came in late.
I called the queen, I tried some veal,
Thank goodness that my dreams aren't real!

I think she is a Shel Silverstein in the making. Maybe that is because I sometimes call her "Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout, would not take the garbage out."

  1. I think it is because I used to sing to her: "Sarah is so beautiful, Sarah is so. I love Sarah so I kiss her all the time. I kiss in the morning and I kiss her for my lunch if I had 100 Sarahs I would kiss them all at once.

  2. Lovely poem, Sarah. . . and proud Dad Chad. Hmmm. I wonder which of the dreams were real.
