Today while watching a conference session on the computer (we also attended Sacrament meeting and then watched another conference session in the forum with all the branch members), Joel make a Lego model of Jerusalem. The old city is on the left--complete with four gates, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Dome of the Rock and other monuments-- and the Mount of Olives with its three towers on the right. We only brought part of our lego supply--if we had them all the model would have been even more authentic.

Joel and Sarah had a week long vacation for Succot. Each day we tried to go and do someting fun. One day we ended up on Ben Yehuda street--a nice street plaza, where the three kids enjoyed a Burger King happy meal (twice the cost of what it would be in the US) in a succa out in front of the restaurant.
On Tuesday Joel will turn 9. He is a great kid and we are so happy he is part of our family.
